RS5 sport exhaust on S5?
So I read that the RS5 will come with a (very expensive) "sports exhaust" option when it arrives... anyone have any idea if the design layout of the platform is essentially the same as to allow us S5 owners the option of upgrading to it as well?

I'm sure it's just aesthetic/acoustic... but I'm looking for an improved acoustic option that won't **** off those in charge of deciding wether my drivetrain warranty applies or not.

No Not at all. The RS5 system has valves in it too. You said you wanted more sound out of yours. I was just suggesting that you unplug your valves. They still open and close even when in Dynamic S.

For sure. I've been thinking about it. This is more about just being underwhelmed in general by the conservative exhaust tonality... looking at AWE touring as a solution, but I've called two local Audi service departments and been told by both that aftermarket exhaust will void my power train warranty... I am aware of magnuson-moss, but still, if there was a better sounding Audi supported exhaust option that fit on my S5, I'd be more willing to entertain that option since it would obviously be a supported part. Feel me?

Given that its a different engine and turbo configuration, zero chance that the RS5 exhaust fits the S5 without fairly major modification, if at all.
To buy one from Audi will likely also cost far more than any aftermarket S5 exhaust.
