Just keep in mind, the four significant areas that affect total cost:
  • Price of the Vehicle (% off, rebates, loyalty, etc.)
  • Trade in Value (If applicable)
  • Add-ons (Finance: Tire packages, extended warranties, etc.)
  • Percentage/Lease Rates (If using the dealership's financing arm,etc.)
Every situation is different. As long as both sides make "money," it's win-win.

Very true and existing relationship with dealer also. I've purchased a few vehicle from my local dealer and they've always treated me right. New sales manager and they weren't as generous at first but did provide that number after she reviewed my previous purchases. I went with another dealer who I never met but have interacted with on forums and they were able to provide good incentive on my trade. So combing all those factors, even though not conveniently close, the worked financially.

I wanted to keep my existing relationship with local dealer but when you're talking about thousands of dollars in difference all things considered, just not practical.

Yes, I played with it when there was nobody around and it worked great. Since then, I paralleled parked a few times on normal busy streets and I forgot about using it. Old habits ...

Cool cool.. I'll probably end up doing the same... Try it to just see how it works but end up doing it myself because old habits die hard

Waiting to take delivery but i've started negotiations and have an offer of 2% off MSRP so far. Should be able to secure 3-4% off MSRP. Will keep you updated.
