S5 AWE Tuning Touring Exhaust Mini Review and Video
Hi All,
I wanted to share some info on the AWE Tuning Touring exhaust in case anyone is thinking about it and on the fence or just needs more details. This is my impression after a couple of days. I was looking for some more noise and a bit more snap, crackle and pop and this exhaust delivers. There is a nice rasp and burble on startup and you know it's there when cruising. It's not overly loud and you are still able to noticeably change its character by changing between D and S modes on the transmission. In S all the crackles and pops are accentuated. Instead of sometimes getting a pop or two on overrun or downshift you get it all the time and its much more noticeable. I like it a lot (maybe the kid in me)!
I was also on the fence on the tip size and ended up going with the larger 102mm. I like it and would recommend it if you're OK with a slightly aftermarket look. If you want it to blend in more like stock then go 90mm.
I hope people find the video useful and don't bash my ametuer movie making skills ;-)
