S5 not selling, prices dropping?

I leased my ‘18 SB PP in February and the dealer (englewood, nj) started at 8% straight of the bat, nicely loaded. I don’t see many S5 SB yet and even less coupes in northern NJ.

The used market confirms this. In the New England area late model A5 Coupes are currently available in the mid to upper $30's while the Sportbacks are $40+ all day. But the Sportback is worth it IMHO.

it doesn'r matter...
I think we can assume that the ratio of coupe/cab/sportback is similar between the A5 and S5. The only direct information that I've seen is that A5/S5 sales are at record levels, and the anecdotal information suggests that the Sportback represents a majority of the sales.

I'm currently shopping for a new order audi S5 sportback. Dealer is offering 8% off MSRP right off the bat. am i missing something or are they just giving me a good deal since I've bought cars from them before and appear to an informed buyer.

where are we, 8 months into the model year?
I bought a 2014 435i xDrive in March of 2014 when they were hotter than sliced bread and got 8% off and some further concessions. Even Audi has to concede that two months after you get your car it will be last year's model.

S5's aren't selling where? In what configuration?
Demand is very often regionally based. We've struggled a bit with cabriolet's, but, sportback demand has been consistently strong, and every coupe I get (I intentionally do not get many), goes quickly

Sportbacks are the models moving. Coupes are sitting on east coast lots for MONTHS.
