Hi All
I have a 2018 Q5 P+ (no bells and whistles), I am really thinking of getting a S5 Prestige in Florette Silver.
I like my Q5, but dont love it. The Q5 would probably go to my wife.
Love the power, love the gas mileage, have gotten used to the lack of steering feel (mostly), but that turbo lag gets to me.
So...I haven't driven a car since my 1973 Dodge Dart (its been mini vans and and suv/cuv)
Will I still be disappointed?

I'd recommend you also look at the A5 SB. The power is awesome and the gas mileage is also with the 4 cyl.

What transmission is in that? The new ultra Quattro?

Only manuals get Ultra. The automatic is the same 7 speed DSG in your Q5. The S5 is really worth a test drive in my opinion, but I'm a bit biased....lol

I don't believe that is correct. All the A4/A5/Q5 and upcoming A6/A7 get the Quattro "Ultra". The A4/A5 have the DSG transmission. Te S4/S5/RS5 get the traditional Quattro which always drives all 4 wheels. The S4/S5/RS5 also get a traditional 8 speed automatic transmission.

Currently, only the A4 Allroad, A4, A5 With manual transmission and Q5 have Quattro ultra rear axles.
