I can tell you the extra horsepower/torque is a nice jump from the S5, you can feel it majorly in "S" and dynamic drive select. The sound of the exhaust (louder and makes more pops and crackles) the fact I can get the black optic package. another thing I found better was the B/O sound system definitely better (even though package costs the same price?) now am I trying to say it was worth a full 20k more? ehhh maybe not BUT definitely a nice step up no doubt.
Oh and another thing I will say, I got the Dynamic plus package that has the ceramic brakes and I can honestly say I didn't feel much of a difference between them and the brakes on my Sportback which I think is a bit odd but I've never felt carbon ceramics otherwise so not sure.

Re: ceramic brakes, if you use them at the track they have a muuuuuch longer life and less fade. On the street you only benefit from the longer life and badass factor.

And the badass factor hahaha love it. Although I do find it quite odd they only put them in the front.

80% or braking happens at the front of the car due to the physics of slowing a car down and the shift in weight distribution. Rear brakes mostly exist to keep the car straight while slowing down.

I haven't experienced any lag at all, in either mode. Coming from a supercharged S4 to this bi-turbo, I was wondering what I would notice. Actually, because of the DSG transmission in the S4 (feeling more like a manual to me off the line), the RS5 takes off without any of that feeling. It's immediate to me. I actually prefer the feeling of the RS5's gearbox to the S4's.
In "S" mode, the RPMs jump up a couple hundred when stopped, and the torque holds at 2-3%. That way it takes off much more abruptly when you take your foot off the brake. Very cool.
