That would be disappointing. Most vehicles with a hatch has sensors that stops the door from hitting objects and automatically adjusts the height. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes -

Increase time required to open trunk lid with remote key
[46 - Central Convenience][Adaptation - 10]
Scroll down and find channel "Time for opening rear lid with remote control"
Load Stored Value (should be 800 ms)
Enter new value in "ms". Example: 2000, Max: 5000
Click Do It

I'm not sure, but I'm concerned it may not be the case if there is a setting to reduce the maximum opening height.

I seen the post above with the settings to adjust the opening height. Not the ideal way to handle the hatch height but better then not having an option.

What is the size of your garage door? Mine is 7' and the open hatch fits underneath.

I'm going to measure. So you're saying the height of the hatch is less than 7' when fully open?

Not quite what I said but since my very first post on this forum required some members to make some measurements for me, I pulled out my tape and ladder for you 😁.

I measured the top of the hatch at just about 7' open. The rails on my 7' door are a few inches higher than the top of the door itself and I think that's pretty standard, and the door rides a little above the rails so it all adds up to about 4" clearance.

I just measured and most of the door is 87 inches from the ground when it is open. However, there is a portion closest to the driveway that curves downwards when open and is only 82 inches high, which could pose a risk to the hatch as it opens. To prevent a potential disaster, I'm going to set the hatch to open to a lower height initially and then test it in my garage.

The good thing is the hatch doesn't stick out like a square back SUV so you're less likely to bang your head on it if not fully opened.
