I'm considering either a quality film protector (professionally installed, of course) or a ceramic treatment like this for my next car. Thanks!
Sorry it took this long to reply... I did not see your posting earlier. What I noticed is that the surface of the car is really smooth... it's been 3 months since I did it and it really looks like it was just waxed. It makes the cleaning process easier and more effective... the shop that applied told me that basically I did not need to wax the car for 7 years. Ceramic coating protects against the elements and corrosive chemicals (salt, droppings...) but I don't think it protects against small pebbles... for that I installed a "clear bra" in the hood, front bumpers and side mirrors...basically an "invisible" plastic cover.

Ok so that's the part I'm thinking of. I love the look. You installed? If so, how?

It's pretty easy. Pop off the mirrors, unplug the 3 wires to it, 3 screws (t10), then pry off the trim and the oem cap come off pretty easily.

Service guy printed off the instructions for me. First one took about 20 minutes but more because I was worried about breaking something because it does take some effort to get things apart. Second one took about 5-10 minutes.

Very nice. With the ceramic coating you maintain the shine and the protective shield you keep it safe from debris.
Nicely done.

Looks great...I'll be having those and the rear spoiler done at the port ($1,595).

Thanks. I previously had the hood, fenders, and mirrors film wrapped for the debris protection. Doubt the ceramic will protect much against a flying stone. Shine, UV protection, easier cleaning was the main goal.
