Default Sport display activation?

Hey guys
I'm the lucky owner of a full spec a5 coupé with virtual cockpit.
i was wondering if by any means it is possible to activate the sport display (the center tachometer like the s5/rs5) by vcds

If yes. Please can someone look into this?

Some folks were trying to do this on an A4 and were unsuccessful: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...4-rs4-2950014/

I may be wrong but I think it has to be coded before car has done 100 miles, OBDeleven Dashboard 17 there is option but on mine does nothing.

I mentioned that in the thread, but nobody else confirmed, denied, or even mentioned it. Maybe everyone has me on ignore

In OBDeleven, in the apps, it says the acceleration display only works with S or RS model. I just gave it a try today with my 2018 A5 Sportback today. It showed up! There is a Sport Display option where the left drawer shows Trip Computer and Lap Time...etc. When it’s selected, I now get a G meter. I haven’t driven yet, so I don’t know if it would work. I wonder if the center Sport Gauge could be somehow coded in other than using Apps in OBDeleven? Anyone?

I thought this was a hardware thing and not software?

After coding with the OBD eleven, the G meter will appear in the display but will not function. Even in the S. From what I’ve found so far is that even the S is missing the hardware to make it functional.

I see. What a shame... I wonder if it could be retrofitted, since the software is there already?
