Summer Tires to High Performance All Season
#21
no season tires are malpractice, pure and simple...
Summer performance tires are simply better in all circumstances for three seasons. For winter use either winter performance or ice and snow tires are better, depending on your use.

If you can swing the cost what I would do is run separate winters and summers. Use a place like this that will store your summer tires...it is in New Rochelle which is not too far from the city. The summer rubber makes a pretty big difference in the summer, and the dedicated winters are way better than UHP all seasons in the winter.

Switched out the summer tires on my 2018 S5 SB with 18" wheels here in NYC for Pirelli P Zero All-Season Plus tires.
Could not be happier. The ride is comfortable, quiet and I don't notice a significant difference in handling compared to the Summer tires. Great in the dry, wet and did nicely in 4-6" of snow. No complaints, no regrets. Very very happy. Good luck. The below video from Tire Rack might help.
