Default Transmission Software Update

Looks like there is a gearbox software update for the S5 that was recently released. Some owners on Audi-sport.net have confirmed this and have stated it made the car much more responsive.

Has anyone heard or received the update?

Here is the thread..

That site appears to be based on owners in Europe. I would be surprised if that software is available for cars sold in North America.

I don't think we have anything yet. I asked my service adviser a few days ago if there are any updates, and the only one planned is a software update for June/July. From our conversation it seems to be with just the MMI.

Even in the UK owners have stated an official update is unavailable when they asked Audi. However, some owners have received an update for gear changes.

Seems like you need to complain to them about your hesitant gear shifts in order to receive an update (according to the following thread).

I really hope they fix this and the surround camera issue sometime this year

Anyone know if there is a way to read the software version on the transmission?

I'm picking up a S5 SB in Munich in a couple weeks that was built April 5th. I could check it with MMI or ODBeleven

That would be amazing if it improves throttle/transmission response.

Hey guys, just to say I've had the update (I'm active on the linked thread) and it made a huge difference to my S5 .

Gear changes are faster and pulling out from junctions is way more responsive.

Hope you US guys get something.
