Yeah, that KIA Stinger looks like it will be successful in its plans to compete with the likes of the Audi A5 or BMW 3/4 series. We'll see how it matches up when it arrives in North America. Here's a very recent road test article from a Canadian auto journalist complete with interior photos:

Second Drive: 2018 Kia Stinger | Driving

Estimate US MSRP is $35k for the 2.0L Turbo and $45k for the 3.3L V6 Turbo. Brembo brakes optional. Will be available in RWD and AWD variants.

It does not make sense. In terms of Sportback competitors, they got right with the BMW 440i Grand Coupe. Not completely hitting the mark by electing the S4 which is a sedan instead of the B9 S5 Sportback. Including the Merc C43 AMG and Jag XE-S. Then, went way off left field with the Ford Focus RS when KIA specifically said that the Stinger is a GT not a track car.

So you meet up with an old high school classmates at a nightclub or restaurant and he ask how you are doing. He asks hey what are you driving now?
You say Hyundai and he says he is sorry to hear that. Figuring you came on tough times.
Answer a Mercedes, BMW or Audi and his eyebrows go up and he says "really".
Just how things are. Enjoy your Hyundai

Prestige isn't on the list of reasons to buy a car. Reliability, Functionality and Styling, Value.. sure.

Prestige? No.

First of all you should represent your self. You might drive a Ferrari and be a POS person.
Then your wife and your job.
I don't care what people think about my cars. I have a 2017 Benz AMG and HYUNDAI Genesis. Just lol.

I just finished a three year lease on a Hyundai Accent so I have first hand experience. It was a hatchback and I used it to transport our dog to the vet . Also on Sundays I loaded up my equipment for cowboy action three gun shooting.
The Hyundai Accent was roomy and economical. However on the highway it did not inspire confidence or secure handling. Frankly it was atrocious and scary bouncing all over the road.
If you cannot admit that the purchase of a luxury class vehicle or beautiful home do not reflect on ones success in life you are not being honest.
Perhaps the bigger Hyundai 's are safer but not the smaller ones.
