The Macan was great, but tech is definitely not Porsche's forte. The presence of tech in the 2018 Audi's (notwithstanding the few bugs that I've had with Carplay and top view camera) is reason in itself to go with Audi if tech is important to you.

I don't understand the people saying that the Macan is a pointless vehicle and that if they wanted to get a sports car, they should have just gotten a sports car. The Macan serves it's purpose, and even when the rear seats weren't folded down, the cargo space was adequate. I also liked the Auto Hold feature, and the throttle response in Sport mode- that thing was quick! I wouldn't say it was 'faster' than the S5, but it definitely feels quicker and more responsive in Sport mode.

Car & Driver measured the 2018 S5 Sportback as slightly quicker than the 2017 Macan GTS. But then the S5 Sportback feels slower than my 2014 435i xDrive coupe did as well...and it isn't. I hope Audi does a firmware update to make the throttle response feel better: that's the kind of tech that I appreciate.
