the oem's have cutouts you can take a blade to.

I can confirm that the trunk liner that WT has for the B9 A4 works just dandy in the sportback:

(I just did a test fitting at work -- note there are nets and stuff underneath, that's why it looks bumpy).

The same type of cutouts are there in the right places to expose the tie-downs. I think WT is better quality than the Audi version of this.

Default With cutouts

Cutouts were very easy with a box cutter, here it is installed with my nets back in.

Mine arrived today. Just as Scoopman says, it fits perfectly in the SB.

Cool - thanks for testing this out and reporting back with pictures. Very helpful.

I've got the OEM mats in our '14 Q5 TDI and Weathertech in other cars- agree the WT is heavier and better quality. Once this whole diesel fiasco is sorted out, I'll be getting a S5 SB to replace it. Then I'll need new mats.

The WeatherTech website is now listing the Sportback as an option for the 2018 S5. It had been only the Coupe and Cabriolet.

Hi all,

I just ordered WT set for my Sportback. But it didn't have cover between the 2 rear pieces. Just wondering what are you guys doing to protect the carpets in the middle? Sometimes I have to transport 3 toddlers at the back. And it's snowing up here so just to get some ideas to protect the center carpets. Thanks in advance.
