Looking to trade my 2016 S6. This is a great car with very little mileage (2000 miles ) What kind of numbers are dealers taking off MSRP this time of year. I'm in NJ and they seem to be playing hardball with prices. Like 10000 off MSRP. I told them forget it. What are your dealers doing in your area.

Thanks for your thoughts,
AntS6

If you found a dealer selling a new RS5 $10K off MSRP you should go for it quickly... RS5s are typically not readily available on the lot and you have to place an order for it...

It would be nice if you share which dealer is providing such discount so other forum members are able to enjoy it ... if you are passing on it.

Cheers!

i agree. 10K off list is a great deal. I paid very close to list for a one year old M3 convertible... love 14 years later! I just drove a ‘18 M5....too much car for the street. Rough riding, incredible acceleration, brakes, just trouble. A man’s gotta know his limitations. 8mpg isn’t so good either.

youll love the rs5.

im assuming you meant 1k off. 10k off is over 10% for any rs5.

Yes sorry for the typo it was 1K off sticker. I didn't feel that was such a big deal so I passed. I will see if they give me a call. Also been eye balling a 2018 C63S with 2000 miles on it. They will let it go for 77K this one is very well loaded with an MSRP of 92K.

A lot to think about.

Thanks for the replies, hope to hear more from all of you.

Most dealers wont really deal much, they sell very quickly. I think I got $1k off mine via "incentives"

They depreciate really fast and a lot (Audi/MB/BMW)... so if you can find one "like new" that you like, go for it. With that said, financials, while an important part of the deal are not the only relevant aspect to be taken into account... e.g. looks, techs, performance, etc... at the end of the day it is whatever makes you happy... and only you can define that.

RS cars are hard to get discounts... if you find one in the lot then it is more likely, but its not going to be a lot. Maybe try an out of state dealer? Also, look for other value propositions to get where you want such as "Audi Care" or other accessories at heavy discount or thrown for free... (Audi Care MSRP is ~ 800 to 1200 ... but dealers have a lot of flexibility... A LOT... they may throw it in for free).... AFS sometimes has incentives if you use their finance... pay off a couple months later just so you can the up-front discount.

Good hunting!

If you are looking for a deal, you should be looking at an S5 not an RS 5. Just jumping on TrueCar the market average is $500 off MSRP, so $1000 in today's market is a great deal.

Ant - I am in PA, have an RS5 in stock (or can trade it for one of your spec), have sold cars to multiple forum members, and can make it a quick, efficient and extremely fair deal for you. Shoot me a PM, let me know what you're after, and I'm happy to get it done

I think it's a little small for my taste but then I actually like the 2017 BMW 540i. Car&Driver can suck it.
