My left rear tire on my 2018 SB was slightly out of alignment. Service writer said I needed an alignment of all the tires with both front and rear cameras. The cost just under $1000.00
When queried, the service writer said that this is not an unusual situation and that it is a safely recommendation by Audi.
I did not have this service performed for I did not see the logic behind the recommendation.

Appreciate any thoughts.

That's totally insane. Why are they saying you need to have your cameras aligned? What does that have to do with your wheels being out of alignment?

That's totally normal. I had that done. I paid $750 (after $100 coupon). $1000 is a bit on the high side, but yes you need ACC calibrated every time setting is changed on the rear axle. Add this to one of the reasons Audi is a money pit.

Damn I'll have to budget for it! I've never had to do that on any other car I've owned that had driver's assistance (ACC/land keep/trace/etc).

I've had several alignments done on my S5 prestige with DAP and they have never even mentioned doing anything else like that. Usually runs about $169.

Mine was done recently $675.00, 4 wheel alignment, camera and sensor recalibration. All because of a fender bender where the other car hit driver side wheel and the bumper had to be taken off for the repairs. $1K is insane, are you in Silicon Valley?.

Is your active lane keep assist working properly? The cameras apparently need to re-calibrated with wheel alignment.
