Truthfully, I wouldn't know if the lane assist feature is working since I never turn it on.
In my past, I raced Formula Fords and my driving style today still reflects my youth by clipping apex corners on many a highway.

I had my turbos (2014 A8L 4.0 T) replaced at 49,000 miles, got the car back and the front camera was out of alignment. So I took the car back and said my front camera is out of alignment. And the dealer said well, we’d have to take the front end of the car off to align it and it looks like the front bumper has been taken off already ( implying that I had taken it off. )
And I said no kidding, you just replaced the turbos a couple of months ago.
...
In an unrelated story, they gave me a brand new A6 3.0 as a loaner car. Very light and airy feeling. Even in sport mode
On my way back to the dealer, the engine died when I was at a stoplight. No, it wasn’t the start stop feature, the engine died and I even got a warning light in the instrument panel saying engine failure or something similar.
Upon my return to the dealer, the service guy said, oh yeah we have been having a lot of problems with A6s and A7s with that engine. He said it as though it was a well known axiom of physics.

This video should clear up a lot of questions around what the labor effort/equipment cost is. This calibration is in addition to the alignment itself (which is no different than any other non-ADAS car). The driver assistance calibration also needs to be done if the windshield is ever replaced, since that job will affect the alignment of the camera on the rear-view mirror.

My car was re-calibrated recently after fender bender repair, the active lane keep assist now works but not as smoothly as before, it tends to react a fraction of a second late so the car tends to lurch back to the middle of the lane.
