I have a Samsung S7, Android Auto installed and used it no problem with GM vehicles. Within seconds I had Waze running on these cars' screen. No such luck with my S5 2019....

It is a Canadian Progressiv trim. I didn't find anything in the documentation and manuals.

I use the cable provided with the car. When I plug it in, it asks me to allow access to various content of my phones (contacts, media...).

When I start WAZE form Android Auto, the map stays on the phone. I explored all the car menus from the top and maybe I missed one.

So how can I get this done?

I'm sharing the WAZE settings that worked for me on a Samung S9:

1) Is 'Audi' showing up under Connected cars Accepted cars
2) Under Autolaunch Autolaunch devices is 'Audi MMI 394' turned on under 'Autolaunch devices'?
3) Under 'Screen on' is 'always on' selected?

Well my little issue is that my Samsung S7 wasn't registered in the MMI menu as an Audi Smartphone ... phone worked via Bluetooth but this was a separate step on the car side. MMI Navi+ is one of the best but I still prefer the more simple screen of Waze. Maybe in the options I'll try to remove some stuff from the MMI map.
