Heard back from Audi rep Vincenzo Francis this week, the car was originally supposed to be completed Sunday the 5th but for some reason, it's still at the factory...or at least it was on Friday.
Vincenzo says there's no delays or holds (which is a good thing) and will email me on Monday, hopefully with a VIN and news that it's headed out the door...we'll see.

OK...latest update is car was completed last Friday and is scheduled to leave Germany and headed this way on the 24th.

Anyone gauge approximately how long to reach a CA port and then to my dealer in SF? Will the car go to Long Beach or somewhere closer, say Oakland?

Congrats - now the really looooooooong wait starts (along with checking the maritime tracking sites!).

Received the updated order this morning along with the VIN, Vincenzo says the car will be headed to the Benicia port which is right around the corner from SF so that should work out well.

If it gets loaded on the 24th, he figures I should see it mid-December...we'll see...I'll start tracking it on water once it's loaded.

Exciting times now...shouldn't be much longer.

Now that you have your VIN - the financing process begins?

Yes probably...I'll be leasing the car and the latest numbers from Edmunds as of 11/9 were .00137 MF and a residual on the Coupe of 58% on a 36/10k lease...which all may change by the time I take delivery.

Looking at the shipping schedule From Emden to Benicia I see GALVESTON HIGHWAY005A15. Nov15. Dez19. Dez If your car was just built I don't think the train will make it in time for that ship and that is the only one on the schedule for Benicia. But they do have METIS LEADER007A 23. Nov 22. Dez that is from Emden to San Diego.Or maybe they will add a ship but either way it looks to be about a month at sea.

This has been a long one...started this whole process on 7/2!
My Jaguar build was 90 days from start to finish...imagine an exclusive color build!
