Default *update*

just drove my AR.

Haven't seen the RO yet, but the SA sez they replaced the entire front suspension, except the shocks.

Well, after a long drive (burned up 7 bucks of gas) many windy roads, a few straight roads, and some very bumpy roads, I can say it drove much much better. not perfect, but better.

IMHO, the left shock compression is not the same as the right. Hit a bump with both front wheels at the same time, and the left dives more than the right. More noticable on level 2 than level one.

The popping sound is gone. The left lower control arm took care of that.

The car tracks straight for the first time. amazing. And the steering doesn't have that odd feeling that turning left takes more effort than turning right.

I noticed a fair amount of gear whine. I don't remember having that much before, but then again, I only had the car a week.

I returned the car to the dealer with the understanding that my lawyer is now the sole contact for this deal. Fixed or not, they still misrepresented this car.

Default my concern is...

that the unibody is weaker, and that I spend the next few years driving a wet noodle that won't hold alignment.

Default why not?

I learn something new about a car every time you change something.

I hear you though. I don't think it puts me in jeapordy unless I seem happy, which I haven't...

Default jeanfor's question and your answer may indicate your willingness to approve..

...or dissapprove of the car. In either case the action shows you can be "convinced" to take the car. IMHO, stay away from it like the plague it is...

Default and that concern would be neither...

proved nor disproved by you taking the car for an hour drive...

BUT, when you drive the car, it still shows you actively engaged in the repair, not in your best interest. As other have said, the farther you walk away, the more your case will be bolstered.

Ok, they made it better. The could change both front airbags and have the shock dampening fixed... does that change anything? It tracks straight... does that change anything?

I what the others have said would be in your best interest... stay away, let the lawyer take care of it.
