'04 Allroad 4.2 24-month leases? What'd you get?
I'm debating whether I want to make a lateral move (payment, etc.) from my '02 2.7 to a 24-month leased '04 4.2. Actually, when I figure the tax advantage for my leasing vs. purchase, coupled with tax advantage of trading in vs. selling my 2.7 outright, it's probably a little bit better than a lateral move.
What are everyone's deals out there on leases for this fully loaded (msrp $53-54K) 4.2? If I go in there, I'd like to have an idea on what everyone has beat them down to.
I really don't want to go longer than 24 months, as that's about the time I get an itch for something else, plus I've already had an ar for nearly 2 years to start with.
I'm getting mad at myself when I look at where I'd be at this point (24 month's post-PURCHASE) versus if I would have leased this 2.7 for 24 months instead...).

Re: and the residual is surprisingly strong on the 4.2 over 24months
I am also thinking about a lateral move after two and a half years on my 2.7T. I would be interested in getting some idea about deals in Central Florida as I am in Winter Springs, Fl. Do you have a dealer close to Melbourne?

Yes, we do, but...
... I would recommend using Classic Audi in Orlando. *VERY* knowledgable staff, not pushy, good inventory.
Continental Motorcars in Melbourne seems to cater to the elderly more (makes sense) and their inventory reflects that. HOWEVER... we did get a good deal on our allroad there, for the very same reason. It was their only one in stock, and they really wanted to move it.
I was in there 2 weeks or so ago for my 30K service, and they didn't have any ar's at that time. But they do get them from time to time, it's worth touching base with a salesman (Ira was ours - he's a bit on the annoying side, but he *will* remember to call you when an allroad comes in)
Good luck! Let me know if I can eyeball/take pictures of anything for you that you find down here.

sorry, was at work and got busy
in Dec, the car had a 70% residual after 2 years. when i was looking, it was cheaper to get a 24 than it was a 36. and i'm talking monthly amount here.
