2003 allroad won't move, brakes are locked---HELP
I posted that my allroad wouldn't move and it was determined that my brakes are locked as all wheels won't budge. What is the path of least resistance to unlocking them? I had NO problems before it overheated due to the cooling fans not engaging. Ideas???
Thanks,
Tim

Tim, how long has the car been sitting? Is it the parking brake causing the problem?

I will give that suggestion to my guy as I am not a mechanic and will have to look and see what a breeder is. Thanks for the response, at least gives me an idea of what to do. Any idea what would cause this?

It had been sitting about 4 days when I went to drive again. I DO use the e-brake, but it hadn't done that before and after I released the e-brake, I never reengaged it at all. Any suggestions on what would cause this and how to undo it?

Tim, I wonder if you could lift a front wheel off the ground using a jack to determine if each wheel is locked in place.
If in a humid environment, the brake pads will bond to the rotor, even just sitting overnight. However, one would typically apply a little gas pedal, you'd hear a snap as the bond is broken, and off you go.

I'd pop the wheels off and try to spread the pads off of the rotors. Then see if you have better movement on the wheel. I've had a bunch of calipers just start sticking. Also, the fluid could be junk inside the calipers, flushing it could help.
