I recently drove the new A6. I think the V8 sport package model is the only one available for early driving. The front seat area seems more spacious and even better finished than the old model. The MMI is easier than the BMW I Drive, but I still think is too distracting. The rear area is about the same size. The trunk may be a little bigger. I agree with previous posters that the engine and transmission are much improved. The V8 sounds great. I also sensed that there was less understeer during aggressive driving. This car seems a great starting point for a new allroad.
As an aside,I recently spent a week in Aspen,CO. I was amazed at the number of allraods there. They siginificantly out number Range Rovers, Land Cruises etc. It seems a lot of people feel the allroad is a great vehicle for the mountains.
