2006 A6 Avant with Air suspension... the heart is beating!!

The next-generation A6 Avant, due out in March of 2005, was spied tooling around recently in an undisclosed arid location. The new wagon will be larger than the old Avant, and feature an air suspension, Adaptive Cruise Control, and dynamic headlights that peer around corners. It has also been put on a weight-loss program with major suspension pieces fashioned from aluminum. The black hood, masking tape and different front and rear wheels are not expected to carry over into the production model.

LOL... but with the possible air suspension.. is this the future allroad?

A6 Allroad: beefy fender and bumper treatment, adjustable suspension with a "performance level mode" setting, 18" rims, real All Season-HP Rubber, a choice of 3.2 or 4.2 engines, (V10 TDI?) choice of Manual tranny (NFW) how about DSG or the 6 speed tip, A real sport seat interior.
$5000 loyalty and early lease termination benefits to current Allroaders.

Anyone else wondering how this whole fishmouth thing is gonna work out...
with the license plates we sport here in the US? I can almost deal with it with the nice wide euro plates, but I'm not seeing it with ours...
Maybe some of you photoshop experts can give it a whirl...

I love the black hood!
im signed up with mine until o6, but I love the new "mouth".
I have seen US spec version with plate and it looked better than I thought. In my state we need no plate at all.
Seeing the front in person looks better, very distinct.
My allroad is 6sp biturbo. At this time, they make neither! I got my allroad at a great price and feel I got alot for my money. Now I have to decide the 6 or the 8? Maybe a 6sp 8cyl will happen.
I still have 2 more years of enjoyment with mine!

they've had air suspensions on the back of avants since at least '99
The only reason I know this is because before I bought my first A6 I looked at the avant and noticed the air ride suspension.
