I bought my Allroad in August. My last one (2005) had a button on the floor to disable the motion detector, so i could set the alarm and my dogs wouldn't set it off. But with this new Allroad, I can't figure out how to prevent the dogs from setting off the alarm. The manual says to press the lock button twice within two seconds, but damn if it works for me. I tried it several times yesterday and waited near the car. Sure enough, within a minute or two the alarm sounded.

Does anyone else have this problem? I haven't tried setting the alarm with the key (twice, within two seconds). Maybe that's the trick...
