93 Octane

Would you guys recommend using 93 octane? I have several Sunoco gas stations around here, and tried it the other day, not bad at all, engine running a little rough when cold, but other than that i see no problem. What do you think? Is it safe? Thanks

the 2.7 is DEFINATELY octane sensitive

i'd continue to use it as much as possible. might as well have your timing advanced as much as it's capable of.

always 93 and when on sale 94 no problem.

same as paulroad...run 93 always...but once in awhile, i load it up with 94 >>

if its close to 93 prices.

It's my understanding that the computer does not know beyond its optimal octane setting, that is it won't improve performance if you use 94 versus its required 91. Conversely, performance degrades with reductions below the optimum desired setting. Isn't this correct? April/V, are you out there?
