abused and neglected: pics wanted
I want to see pictures of your worst ar abuse you ever saw -- the previous thread got me to thinking. I dont see many allroads that are used as "beaters" by people who just dont care and have no clue. There is one silver one that is parked near my office that has a few scratches but gets washed and got new tires recently (armor-alled no less). So I'm wondering if its the car that selects more involved/savy owners, or what. Just dont seem to see too many abused and neglected ar's. Am I wrong?
post pics of "ar abuse" -- I remember the guy who fabricated the ugliest "roof rack" from pipes and 2x4's. That was aesthetically abusive but kinda cool. Some of the "sagging" ar's kinda look pathetic too. any others?

Re: I am with Arob on this. I even kept my Hundai Exel washed and waxed
when I had to buy an economy car out of college. It was $6800 new, no air, zero options, throw a rock at it and knock off a chunk of paint, but still kept it clean.

Based on what I've seen, most owners at least take care of them, though...
I saw one at my dealer that looked like a family of 5 had been living in it. Full of old newspapers, old McDonalds wrappers etc.

Well... I'm a baaaaaaad boy...
Let's face it... my DAILY ROUND TRIP COMMUTE is 115 miles over NY/NJ highways. This includes breakfast on the fly... a bagel and coffee... a powerbar snack on the way home with a Red Bull..sugar free...got to stay awake.
Plus my normal running around at work, picking up parts, going to the bank...then the weekend.
And where does this paraphenalia end up? Why along with the gas receipts, paperbags and gum wrappers... on the floor, In the back deck.
Mind you the car is washed at least evry two weeks.. when I scoop everything up and toss it. The enterior is always clean.. nothing broken or ripped. The outside sitll has the scuffed rear bumper and dent in the chrome molding on the rear hatch. The front bumper still has a rip at the bottom from my run in with the flying road sign and now my front left fender has a %1100.00 wrinkle (500.00 for Dent Wizard I'm debating.)
from a parking lot that I never noticed till days after due to so much dirt and snow on the car from a Toronto Road trip discovered after a bi weekly car wash.
You get the picture... I did win the unofficial award at this year's Waterfest for the most 'untidy' car.

I called my allroad MUDI for a reason.

Living in the mountains on dirt roads, it saw a lot of dirt, inside and out. Yes, I hated trashing it, so it was replaced with a $22k Subaru.

The 50-year old maple tree that crushed the entire roof of my car like a taco shell
I really need to get the photo scanned in. I plan to use it as my sig for fun. The car is totally repaired ($15K later) and looks great despite the dirt and grime.
