allroad allgone......... :-(
After 2 years of owning this awesome car circumstances dictated that I streamline my expenses a bit so the car had to go. Great car, great forum....it'll probably take me a bit to wean myself off posting here so bare with me. The guy who bought my car seems like a true enthusiast and I wouldn't be surprised to see him on here. Thanks to all! Cheers.

Hi all.......I'm the new guy on the block
I'm the guy who bought this car. So, the prediction of me showing up is already realised. This is due to the very high recommendation of this site and the folks who post here. I'm new to Audi and to this forum so I will most likely lurk for a while to avoid the hazing that usually comes with being a newbie.
yzf996fltri has been wonderful to deal with. Thanks. I bought so much more than the other allroads available. I know I will learn much from this group and in time maybe I can add a little too. Cheers!

Had to get an RX8 to preserve my AR mileage

Ahhh.... I don't want to part with my AR and my wife likes the AR very much for long travel. I already put 31,000 miles on it and so I had to get another fun car for myself. I just got an RX8 for my daily commute and boy I'm surprise that I'm enjoying it as much as the AR. It's a fun sports car that can seat 4 adults, rev up to 7500 RPM; it can go head-to-head with a BMW M3 on twisty track runs (topgear.com said that); and beat the Nissan Z on slalom speeds. If you have to part with the AR and are in the lookout for a sports car with room for 4 full size adults and 2 golf carts in the trunk (go RX8).

Yup! I got 'em....and everything else too!
I benefitted from all of his efforts with research and purchases. I got all his upgrades, the VAG, CD manual, Thule roof box, etc. Not to mention the stock parts too (not that they will ever be utilized but it's nice to have them). Again, so much more than a lease back from a dealership. Not to mention the 6 speed with Tanoga SS! Thankfully most of the dog hair was removed. :>
Thanks for the welcome!

So, how tall are you? I tried sitting in one of these and my 6'2" person doesn't fit! I'm pretty slender, but it was the height that was my problem. Just isn't the head room! (yes, I did adjust the seat!) My dad's '85 RX7 GSL-SE fits me fine.

Re: Had to get an RX8 to preserve my AR mileage
I'm just 5'9". But my salesman was about 6'1" and he fit in the back seat while my wife was beside me during the test drive. The headroom is shorter for RX8s with the moonroof option. If you ditch the moonroof option, you should have about 2 inches more in headroom. I hang out in the RX8club.com forum and one guy said he is 6'1" and he fits fine. Another guy who was 6'2" got the RX8 but searched for an RX8 withou the moonroof and is now happy about it.
