Default allroad noobie - some basic questions...

thinking about getting a pre-owned allroad 2.7t and have a few questions.

1. I am thinking about a 2001, 2002, or 2003. Any years i should avoid?

2. Any specific thing i should look at and inspect on pre-owned allroads?

3. i would love to get an after market DVD/Nav. How does that affect the red center display? can you tie in an after market Head Unit into the steering wheel controls?

4. What upgrades (VAG, Chip's, etc) are available for the 2.7t?

5. Am i forgetting any questions?

thanks all. i look forward to joining the allroad community.

Default I am partial to the 01 as it had the wood trimmed

gear shifter, heated steering wheel and (probably the dual spoke wheels - pain to clean but they look great). Mechanically, they have not changed.
With any year, make sure the tires have been changed to anything but the OEM Pirellis or Goodyears and make sure the brakes are fresh.
