Default Allroad threw P0491 and P0492 codes. Anyone have any experience with this

Looks like its an issue with the secondary vacuum pump on bank 1 and bank 2. Anyone got any info here? Where is the vacuum pump, and could it be a solenoid or something else causing the car to throw the codes?

thanks,

Travis

Default Most likely a failing pump and/ or leaking hoses. The pump sits at the back

of the engine just a tad closer to the driver side than the passenger side.

You will see a Y hose that comes out of the pump Y's off and then goes to the back of both cylinder heads.

Default check the vacuum hoses to the combi valves... some years had recall

for the vacuum tee that splits off and goes to combis. its behind and kind of under intake manifold
