My parents were in twain harte.....
they got three inches sunday morning. That elevation is only about 3500 ft.

w/o trying to turn this into an environmental debate...
Snow cover in the Tahoe resorts over the last few seasons, this one included, has been terrible. Yes, this April has enough snow to be considered an ordinary January, but this January had no snow worth skiing on.
I'd say, our little region of the world is definately getting warmer. A particularly wet April in nor-Cal isn't any reason to toss <i>conservation</i> out the window, or to give up on efforts to reduce emissions.
Ok, no more environmental lecturing... =)

I totally agree with you...
I try to always conserve, and be conscious of the environment.
It really seems like the weather has been shifting lately. The first snow of the season has seemed to be creeping into later in the year. Thanksgiving has always been the "official" opening of ski resorts in Nor-Cal, but this year there wasn't anything decent until late December.
I tend to believe more in the cyclical nature of weather...look at the mid-twentieth century and the dust bowl....people thought the world was drying up. Then look at five or six years ago, when you could ski until May. Kinda weird-
