Has anyone here experienced poor AM radio reception ? My customer has terrible AM with an annoying pulse in the backround ...Please let me kno if you have had the same trouble or a solution .. He has GPS and tinted windows and a cell phone .

and you've covered it with metallic tint, I'd suspect that first. I have no tint and my radio sounds crystal clear... am and fm.

I have had terrible radio reception with my new AR. The AM side is particulary bad..An '01 Avant I owned had the same problem, Audi Replaced the radio, installed new antenna & wireing harness, they had the Avant four weeks at one time trying to diagnose the problem and never did fix the problem.
My AR has the same problem, but at I am going to live with it...My wife has a '02 A6 & radio reception is fine. We live in a rural area, so that most of the transmissions are "fringe". The problem appears to me to be in their wagon type vehicles. The AR is my thirteenh Audi, so I am a fan of the manufacturer.

Audi informed me that they are going to replace the "antenna amplifier" to solve my AM problem. There has been a noticable deteriotion in the signal strength. Should be done next tuesday, I'll keep you posted.
