Default I got out of my car (running) on an angle yesterday and noticed it was pretty loud.

But I can't hear it much inside. Could it be going bad?

I had to return an allegedly "rebuilt" compressor to Arnott because the air fittings were snapped off and you can't buy them separately from Audi. So I went to MB and bougth the same unit, albeit with different fittings (Part No 211-320-03-04), for about $325..I managed to get a discount. You only need to splice in the electrical connector and bridge where the air fitting comes out on the MB vs Audi. Pretty self explanatory whe you see it. I went to my local auto parts store and found some fuel line to do it. Works like a charm and its a brand new unit...nerve of Audi charging $1200 for the same thing.
