anyone call roadside assistant before
Just wonder anyone call Audi Roadside Assistant before.
I got my A6 Avant and A4 2.8 for my wife since 1999 and never call this service.
I changed to Allroad at Nov 2002.
Few days ago, it is raining. I am driving at about 80km/hr.
Saw something on the road, tried to prevent run over it, too bad, my rear left tire ran over it.
There is a big piece of metal wire cut into the tire, and air leaking quickly.
Since my left hand hurt in a ski accident, I don't want to change tire by myself in the rain.
I pull over and call Audi Roadside Assistant service.
Part of the conversion:
Audi: Audi Roadside Assistant, what can I help you?
I: I got a flat tire, need help.
Audi: What model is your Audi?
I: It is a 2003 Allroad.
Audi: What?
I: It is a 2003 Allroad.
Audi: An A4?
I: No, is Allroad, A. L. L. R. O. A. D.
Audi: We have model like A4, A6, ¡K Allroad?
I: No, Allroad is a model since 2000.
Audi: I have never heard this model before; this must be a new model.
I: !!!!!
Then later.
Audi: May I know your VIN number.
I: W¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K ( I read out my VIN# which is hand written in the Audi Roadside Assistant paper card)(for my A6, they send me a plastic card with punch numbers)
Audi: We don¡¦t have this VIN #.
I: (I am really angry at that moment) I don¡¦t know, may be some of the '1' in my VIN is 'I' or 'I' is '1' or '0' may be 'O'. You do the match.
Audi: ok, forget the VIN# what is the color? And where are you located?
I: Black¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..
Audi: ok a black Audi. ¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..
Can you believe, there is NO 'Allroad' in Audi or it never need Roadside Assistant before!!
