Tip thing on the s4. I'm pretty sure the AR has it on both?!?

Less racket upon start-up. One less expensive item to break. One less source of vacuum leaks:-)

Default I'd love to find the tech that would let me bypass the pressure detection sensors...
...since both of my blowers are dead, and I continually get a CEL about it.

Is this known tech for the B5 S4's?

Default Remember hearing it on my 2.7T tip allroad
No such noise on my B5 S4 Avant 6 spd or the 4.2 allroad. My neighbors were always asking why my 2.7T tip ar made so much noise in the morning...I agree; the racket can be annoying.

Is the purpose of it just for smog; and why (possibly) just the tips on the 2.7T?

I'm curious whether 6 spd allroads have it...because I would have to ask why them and not the B5 S4 6 speeds?

Default Dunno since only the tips have it. We don't see many failures. I haven't seen a fix for it on the
b5s4 forum but i also haven't been looking closely.

Default Mine doesn't run w/AWE RSK04 software,nor did it run using APR S4 M-box software in my allroad.
Didn't remove any of the hardware, didn't see the need since the software doesn't see the hardware. Hardware could cause leak down the road, I figure that could be addressed later. : )

What year is your ar? Are you running just the chip or the whole m box (ie. did you change ecus)?
