Default APR chips for 2.7T allroad

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/54750/p4181809.jpg"></center><p>Any personal experiences with APR tuning chips? The info on their website makes good reading. There is no local experience where I live. On my second allroad - love it!<ul><li><a href="http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_upgrade_allroad.html">http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_upgrade_allroad.html</a</li></ul>

Default I ran APR's program in my A4 for 3 years

... and about 60,000 miles.

They were great to deal with and the one time I had a prob I shipped the ECU and they had back to me within 2 days after they received it.

If and when I go with a chip. I'll be looking at APR and Strat/OCT. I'm also looking into exhausts and would like whoever has the best Stage 1+/Stage 2 program.

Default What do think of the 402 mod?

Appreciate the feedback. Not familiar with Strat/OCT - off to look! Car sounds great, what do you think of the 402 mod?

Default 402 mod = nice especially with the 18's

I was worried when buying the allroad about suspension handling. My A4 had Koni coilover's and 17" wheels and Kumho's. That car took on-off ramps nicely

The allroad lowered just a bit thru the 402 mod and using some decent 245/45/18 rubber (I'm using the S03's) has been fun. Not as tight as my A4 but the ride isn't nearly as harsh either. Very good for a "family hauler".

I might add the Sport package swaybar from the A6 to see if I can get rid of some of the tail sway on high speed sweepers.

Stratmosphere has been getting some coverage on this board lately - check out JBo's deal with the K04s.

The link below might help a bit...<ul><li><a href="http://www.stratmosphere.com/oct.htm">Stratmosphere's OCT page</a></li></ul>

Default 18's are defintely on the cards!

Thanks again. I agree on the sway issue. There is the opportunity to do some real high speed driving here without fear of radar. I kinda got used to the suspension in allroad #1 but having changed from Porsche back into an allroad I do really notice it. I do plan to go to 18" wheels at some point and I will need to give some serious consideration to rubber. Temperatures of 50 degrees Centigrade are not very forgiving to tyres, so I will have to do some investigating. Ran P Zero on the 996 - great tyres! The allroad is great car and the better half loves it too!

Default I like being able to switch to stock mode when it goes in for service.............

performance wise I would think there wouldn't be much difference from one chip to another....

Default Fantastic picture.. Yes there will be a revision, but it's okay to get now

but since you don't have a local shop you could either order the programmer and dump your own updates (that's nice), or wait till the new release is out.

Default I think you'll like the PSK swaybar...

it handles flatter and is much more controlable near the limit.
