What type of maintenance was done? Did you perform the services?
its a bit difficult to speculate, but if it sounds like internal engine noise to you, I recommend buying a stethoscope and using it to pinpoint what part of the engine its coming from.

Maybe this is how audi a6 engine sound like, I don't know, but after they replaced camshaft seals, new transmission fluid and new engine oil, I felt like the engine noise was louder
