Recently, I coded the control module on my 2003 Burgundy 6spd. allroad, to enable several new locking features including Automatic Door Lock at 15 mph. Does anyone know if and how the autolock feature can be enabled or disabled? I've accidentally disabled the feature a couple of times and have to recode the system using my Vag-Com software to enable the autolock. There must be a better way!

Mine is constantly decoding itself. The dealer just keeps recoding it over and over -- this must be a software bug!

I have also had this problem and it has happened three times (see earlier post) - each time it has turned itself back on again. Last time I got it to turn on I had to drive in reverse over 10mph and the autolock kicked in - so next time it happens I will try the reverse trick again to see if it works. Dont have a VAG tool and its a pain to go to the dealer so I tend to wait for the autolock to turn back on again - it usually has taken about 7 days during each episode.

This "reverse trick" - going backwards at over 10mph (way over in my case, I was close to 25mph) didn't work for my new A6. The autolock works only from time to time, and the dealer doesn't have a solution for that either.

The autolock feature stopped working (reason unknown) about a month ago.
Yesterday, for some reason I decided to open the door for my girlfriend first, before getting in myself. And - yay - the system was back on.

I really can't think of any other factors, so, to sum it up:
- I remotely unlocked the car from the keychain
- I opened and closed the passenger's (front) door
- I opened and closed the driver's door
- I started the engine
That enabled the autolock. I'd be glad to know if this works for somebody else.
