Default Bad tip tranny means new AR!!! Another new AR!!! (long)

For those of you who remember the pain I had 2 month ago, I have resolution!

My first 03 AR needed a new tranny after 180 miles! I asked AOA to take it back! No way in hell! My dealer replaced the tranny and it ran great. The sales manager at Carrera Motors in Bend Oregon (Rebecca) said I could keep that one until she got me a new one that was similar. I said yes and added Nav to it! She went way beyond the call of duty and found one on the boat leaving the homeland bound for the US. My new (yes second AR) came in wraped in plastic 4 days ago and it was detailed and ready when I got there on Saturday! She put on mud flaps free for my inconvenience. It took 6 weeks to get the car and I racked up 3000 miles on the old one! No charge to me!

Normally I don't have a lot of good things the say about dealers but these guys are tops both mechanically and integrity! This is why I have bought 3 out of my 4 Audi's from them. They also sell VW, Porsche and BMW. I think they got me covered for life! If any of you ever find yourself in beautiful central Oregon check these guys out. They have some great stuff on there lot and showroom!

And thanks to you forum guys they bought back the OEM Pirelli's and my pilot sport A/S will be on this Friday!

Now I can finally start doing the sway bar and 402mod etc!!!!
Damn I have to wait 1000 miles to break it in again!!!!!

Ciao

Default Hi, why did you insist on new car if new tranny solved all issues?

i am just asking so i know what to do if some major repair issue ever arises. If the major component is replace and the car drives to your satisfaction, why bother asking for a dealer refund or exchange? thanks

Default Here is the reason!

24 hour after purchase tranny dies close to home. I can get it on my street. It is flat bedded to dealer. They talk to Audi about the tranny and AOA says that it was damaged in transit! How they came to this conclusion is beyond me. I say if this tranny blew do to transportation problems then what else is going to go wrong! For 45K and new you should be confident in your car. Bottom line is that I lost confidence in the car!

And my dealer came through for me!

Ciao
