Default Trailer hitch problems- Might be time to approach a hitch mfgr to make one for us...

There are a couple of hitch manufacturers in Elkhart/ Mishawaka IN (HQ of a lot of car & boat trailer manufacturers). Might be interesting to take an Audi hitch to them and see what they'd charge to build a run of them for us.

Anyone interested?

Default So audi rockville in md told me...

That they could get them. The parts guy told me even if the Audi oem isn't available they can get them straight from the manufacturer in Europe. He said also uhaul sells them. I didn't get to in depth with the guy, as I have nothing to tow so I didn't want him to find me a hitch if I wasn't going to buy one. But they seemed sure if I wanted one they could get one. While U-haul has a hitch, its not the OEM hitch.

Default Could be what he refering to, but I was under the impression they could get OEM

even if audi didn't have any. He may have been blowing smoke, but he said he had to get one for a customer a 3 weeks ago for a body shop rear bumper fix.

Default I've been reading about this trailer hitch issue lately and...

I just emailed my cousin who owns a pretty big fabricating company in VA. He has made quite a few things for me in the past and I just sent him a few pics to see if he is interested in making a limited run of allroad hitches. He usually takes a day or two to get back to me. I'll let everyone know.

Default Anybody know where SRA Valley is?

My OEM hitch box says SRA Valley Plant. Not sure if that is a clue who the manufacturer is/was....

Might be SPA Valley, hard to read, but pretty sure it's SRA Valley.

Default I would be totally interested in one if it's like the factory style...

with a 2" reciever if possible. I would also be very interested in what tganci finds out.
