Default Bike Rack Hitch Mount and Cargo Net

Two things:

1) Any thoughts on an install for a hitch mount for a Thule (or other) type bike rack? I don't really want a roof rack as the 4.2s mileage is bad enough and I'd like something a little sturdier standard trunk/hatch type.

2) Interested in picking up a light weight cargo net for the trunk. The stock one is way too much for my needs. I can't find it on Audi online. I'm sure there are aftermarket ones that are fine.

Thanks.

Default Re: Cargo Net - how bout a yakima (or?) net designed for rooftop luggage racks?

They are stretchy & definitely more lo-fi than the OEM audi one.
I've had similar thoughts a few times RE the audi net being overkill. The OEM net shines w/ heavier stuff that really needs to stay put. (i.e. a few cases of wine)

Is this adapter compatible with a Euro hitch for the allroad?
Where did you get this one?
Thanks

This bike rack adapter is not compatible with the Euro hitch, as it does not have the same square receiver as does the North American Allroad hitch.

Will this work with the type 2 Euro hitch? Does not seem that there would be enough clearance
I was thinking of finding a type 2 hitch
