Default Block Heater Available?

Now that the car has been out a while, I'll ask the forum again.

Is there an Audi approved block heater for the 2.7T engine in the allroad?

I don't have a heated garage, and I liked having a warm block (faster heating, less wear)in my last car.

Have you tried the S4 and A6 forums also?

Default Re: Block Heater Available?

audi parts guy said no, not yet. they have one for the 1.8T but not the 2.7t.

It shouldn't be a big deal to find one though.

Most block heaters are installed in a freeze plug in the block so it is simply a matter of finding out what size the plug/hole is and buying a heater to fit (assuming that the 2.7t has "standard" freeze plugs which I can not attest to. I do know that older audis 100/200 series you could have them fitted).
