Default brake pads

I know this has been coverd for the HP2
but I have an 05 with the 2 pad FNR-G60 calipers

I will most likly buy from ECS because they are somewhat CND friendly

Hawk HPS or the HP plus?
EBC green or red

car is a daily driver but I want better then the TRW's on there now

I have a 01 with EBC Greens and not that impressed, just as much dust as oem, and they were loud when I put them on (did them on an 04 too) and same result, took a half bottle of brake quiet orange goo to silence them. These are the pads that there are 8 of for each car's front change with sensors.

I just posted a thread on qw about brake pads the other day, askingthe exact same thing(ebc green vs red, and hawk hps vs hp plus)
general concensus seemed to be that the Hawk HPS arent too good.

I think I am going to try the Carbotech Bobcat, ive read good things about these and some people on qw recommended them. available thru purems.com

ceramic keeps the dust down right?

HPS work fine w/allroad. They chatter a bit when cold, but once warmed up initial bite is great. HP+ is pretty aggressive for a street pad, both dust and noise. Avoiding the OEM rotors is how you reduce warping. Zimmerman, powerslot or dba are better options.

Default brake pads

Reminder

If you change brands of pads, make sure you have your rotors blasted to ensure you get all of the residue off. If you dont you will waste 100 set of brake pads the first time you apply them.
