Default CARFAX WARNING!!

Thanks to another Allroad owner, I was given my Carfax for my ar.

This report said " Accident Indicator" reported by a collision repair facilty at 15,000 miles on 10/20/03.

Hmmmm.... I never had an accident with the car in 2003.

I always said Carfax was not accurate.

I'll dispute it, but naturally I have no proof that something did no occur.

Turns out CARFAX said my ar was inspected for frame damage in a town I never once had any repair of any kind in. I never had any front end or rear end hits...let alone at 15K miles as CARFAX STATES

Default wouldn't burden of proof be on them in this case?

if you've been the owner of the car I would think that they should be able to provide info that they base their assessment on.

Default My 2 stories:

Had an Audi TT that got in a $14K accident. Even was reported to the police and written up. Carfax shows the car as never having the accident.

My parents had an Isuzu Amigo that got involved in 2 seperate accidents, both were over $2K in damage. Neither one showed up on Carfax.

Default Nothing beats a physical inspection of the vehicle by knowledgeable technician/mechanic... ;)

I guess, besides disputing, you can just assure your prospective buyers that the car was never involved in an accident, and that they are always free to inspect it.
