Default Cloudy headlights- found a great repair kits

The headlights on my 2001 were starting to look pretty trashed. Between the UV damage, rough feel, and pitting they were not doing too well. There is a ton of stuff in Google on headlight repair but I found one that I was willing to try on the AR. It was at http://www.gtglass.com/product_detail/229/diamond-clear-acrylic-restoration-diy-plus.html. I gave it a shot on Saturday and it works like a champ. I did not do any before and after shots, but they look factory new now. Anyway, check it out. There are cheaper kits out there, but this one has everything I was looking for and it works great.

Default Inside?

So, this works to remove that cloudy dulled look...I guess you have to remove the headlights and take them apart? This is where I get queasy and don't want to break anything. How exactly is this done?

trust me, i thought the same as well, but is not necessary as working the the lens from the the outside is what is needed and what a difference it made!!

I used the 3m headlight refinishing kit. Paid about $17 shipped. Worked great. They are not 100% perfect but I think I rushed it a little.

All you need to do is lift the hood and put some blue painters tape around the gasketing/trim, and paint. Absolutely nothing needs to be removed from the car.
