Default Cold weather affects air suspension?

This may seem like a stupid question, but I am new to the allroad. Can cold weather affect the air suspension? For example, the front lower suspension is lower in the morning? My wife says that when she starts the car, the self levelling light comes on the dashboard and everything after is ok.

I checked this morning, the front left looks lower. The car is on suspension setting 1, should I try 2 to see if I get the same thing.

Any input is greatly appreciated before I run off to the dealer. Thanks.

Default that light comes on when the suspension has fallen below the parameter. Sounds like you have a leak

in one or both of your front air springs. Try leaving it on level 2 or 3 overnight and see if it stays at those heights. Also, parking on an unlevel surface will sometimes cause that as the car is designed to level itself out to some degree when parked, releasing air out of the "higher" end of the car to lower it and adding air to the "lower" end to raise it.

More on the left side. The parking area is somewhat uneven (lower at the front than the rear). I would suspect the front to be more raised in this scenario.

I will try level 2.

Default absolutly... what happens to a balloon in winter?

air is denser, takeing up less volume AND the rubber becomes stiffer om cold weather. A little leak in the fold will leak more because the rubber is too stiff to self seal.

Mine drops a little bit when the temp drops suddenly. (say if its 50 out one day and drops to 25 overnight)
As long as the temp is relatively constant, I find it doesn't drop.

Thaniks for all the info. So, I get into my car, don't even turn it on, shut the door and walk away. The left front is back on the right position again. All I did was unlock the car, sit, get out, close the door, lock the car, supension is back up. ???? Hmmmmmm...

The car is a CPO, I will monitor over the next few days...

Default As incrementalg said, only if the temp drops while the engine is off.

Otherwise, the system will pump more air into the springs to make up for the increased density, as measured by the decreased height.
