There is a model year part change for 05. I think the cutoff was cars built after August 04.

Every control arm I order is the fatter ball joint. Anyone got a pn for one that will work.

Thank you!

I purchased are short and fat. Seems like the same issue the OP is talking about.

Yep.

The OP has a steel sleeve stuck to the actual ball joint stud. When I did some work on my car, same thing happened.

I am replacing both the hubs with 4z7407357f and 258f. This will allow me to use the 04 arms which are very common.

Default 04-05 lower control arms

Ali,
Search parts geek for the correct part and #. OE is the TRW listed there. It gives you the chassis number after which the later model part applies. As noted above some green loctite to the sleeve is a good idea if the sleeve came out when you removed the old arm. There may be a cheaper OE part available but if it doesn't include the chassis cut off info or a picture you are likely going to get the short fat one. Stay away from any that lists 01-05 as that is clearly incorrect.

What about the rear lower arm? That has a skinny ball joint as well.

Its 257f and 258f.

The 151G part looks like it would fit.
If someone had the part number for the rear lower arm we could get somewhere.

Also...

The lower control arms you have on your car wont fit 257f and 258f. You will need different lower arms.
If you get 257f and 258f you can use the common arms that are found on 04's.
