Default Check engine light: A/T

I have a new to me 2005 Allroad 2.7t, aside from finding a previous owner installed a standard strip/spring suspension, the rest of the car is all good with 122k miles. I've had the heck engine light come on two days ago, code read "A/T, I didn't notice or feel any oddities in the trans so I reset the light to see if it would come back on. It took two days, but came back on today after driving a bit in the afternoon. Any idea what is setting this off. Would a trans flush and fill be useful? I am new to audi's, so it'll take me a bit to come up to speed.

Default

The fault code you see in Engine control module is most likely P1624. It is a request from Transmission control module to have Engine control module turn on Check engine light. If the check engine light is on again with same code, i would check for fault in memory of Transmission control module. Common problem is Transmission Torque converter.

Default "Check engine" problem

since I couldn't figure it out, I took the car to a shop I use (usually for the bigger jobs). Oddly, the issue was temperature related. The thermostat was stuck open. I wanted to change the belts anyway, so I did belt, thermostat and pump, and the allroad has presented no problems since. I guess I just read the code incorrectly. It wasn't trans related at all.
