Default CRAP! Got hit this morning. :-(

I pulled into a parking spot at the dry cleaners and had one foot out of my car when the person parked on the passenger side started to back up. He apparently didn't see me pull up, swung it wide and tagged the rear wheel well, quarter panel & rear bumper.

Damage isn't very bad on the painted area. Just pushed in and paintless repair might work on that area if the marks his car left on it will buff out. The wheel well needs to be repaired for sure. The rear bumper might buff out as well.

Now the questions is should I paint the flares & bumpers all around? I hate Mondays.

Default Sorry to hear you got hit. Stay with the black flares & bumpers

After 4 days with my new ar everyone seems to think the ar looks more "manly" than my previous A4 Avant "station wagon" due to the black bumpers, flares & roof.

Default Damm! Sorry to hear that!

If your wheel took a shot, make sure to get a 4 whell alignment, and I would have the mechanicals examined REAL close. The Quattro system is terrific, but expensive to repair. Last hink you want is treouble down the road for "hidden damage."

As far as painting the flares goes, my GM told me there's nothing for the paint to adhere to. I know there are pics around of painted flars, but I don't think they're US spec cars (not sure if that makes a difference or not).

Default Luckily he didn't hit the wheel. I was parked & he was just backing up.

I'm pretty sure this is just lightly cosmetic.

Default The Silver lining to the cloud.........PAINT it!!

if you can get a good shop that has a warranty on their work. Also, at least it wasn't a hit and run.

Default I wouldn't paint the fenders, but if I had to...

I'd paint it similar to the previous post... like this...

<img src="http://1552design.com/gallery/essen00/roll3/085.jpg">

It looks like from your sig pics, that you're driving an Atlas Gray allroad. Keep the unpainted fenders... that's where the character of our cars comes from.
