AoA is calling me back today. My lawyer is making first contact. The service writer told me the service mangager is convinced they fixed it.
meanwhile, I've put 1700 miles on their loaner A6 avant.

You know, whether they fixed it after the sale or not is irrelevant.
They improperly sold a car as certified, lying to you and AoA in the process. This should let you out of the contract. And AoA can pressure them to find you a sustitute car that *you* find acceptable.

100% correct....
That's why I am really surprised why is it taking AOA so long to give you either your money back or a CPO replacement....
